Outreach | U.N. International Day of Peace
On Friday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m., gather in Old Town Square (just south of Laporte and East of College Avenue) in Fort Collins to commemorate the U.N. International Day of Peace. Long-time Palestinian peace advocate Nora Arsenian Carmi will speak. Nora’s career has included leadership with the YWCA of Palestine, Sabeel Liberation Theology Center and Kairos Palestine. She has also served on the Steering Committee of the Christian Peace-Makers Team (CPT) and on the boards of the International Parenthood and Family Planning of the YWCA and the Coalition for Jerusalem. Nora travels extensively, speaking in church and political circles around the world about the urgency of ending the injustice in Palestine and Israel.
