Family Housing Network – Faith Family Hospitality – Sherwood House
Sharon Kunze tells us why she is involved in Faith Family Hospitality:
“Heart of the Rockies was one of the churches that participated in the FFH program from its beginning 7 ½ years ago. I have been volunteering in the program at Heart of the Rockies since its beginning and I have been very active in FFH as Heart of the Rockies has partnered with Plymouth Congregational Church the last few years. I also have been volunteering with FFH at Christ United Methodist Church during their rotations. I “sign up” for 3 or 4 evenings every week that I volunteer at each church. The reason I am committed to volunteering in FFH is that I love spending time with the children and their parents. The love the parents have for their children is very heart-warming. The children are precious to me, and my hours with them are very worthwhile and bring me much joy.”
Sherwood House: The renovation/magic transformation of Sherwood Transition House is coming along, slowly but surely. It is still in need of money in order to finish the renovation and get it set up and ready for families. Also, it is currently in need of indoor painters. Sign up here to paint!
The Day Center for Family Housing Network (at the Mennonite Fellowship): Saturday daytime volunteers are needed to staff the day center. Training is available. Warm feelings and smiles are the pay. To volunteer please contact Steph at the Day Center.
