Heart of the Rockies Christian Church in Fort Collins, CO

Our history

We set out to grow a church family nourished in the vitality of the Bible and the experiences of the church throughout history. We seek to join the best that a church can offer—the meaning, joy and love of Jesus—with a practical understanding of the faith that speaks to life as we experience it. We focus on the essentials of the Christian faith while encouraging the freedom and diversity of the historic church.

We began our life together on March 28, 1993, a mission of the Central Rocky Mountain Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Over the years, partnership with our regional church has affirmed our sense of the church’s oneness, strengthened men’s, women’s and youth ministries, and resourced overseas ministries that stretch now around the world. Our members and friends participate in a network of teams that provide opportunities for fellowship, learning and service both inside and outside of the church. We invite people to experience the transforming power of God’s love, to share the adventure of Christian discipleship, and to seek ways to serve the needs and hopes of the community and the wider world.
