2019 General Fund Campaign
We’ve spent 2018 celebrating our 25th year together. We burned our building mortgage early thanks to your abundant generosity. We continue to be a community of people who truly love God and serve others – because we want to, not because we have to. In doing so, lives are changed. Your love and labor makes this kind of community a reality. Thank you!
This year has been a significant one for our leadership. We celebrated the faithful, fruitful leadership of our Youth Ministry Directors, Rachel and Beth, as their time on our staff drew to a close. We excitedly welcomed two exceptional staff members—our Executive Assistant, Sarah, and our Associate Minister, Daniel. Add their abundant gifts to those of our long-time, dedicated staff, and we truly feel our leadership, including our committed lay leaders, are prepared to lead our congregation into its next chapters. (Bring it on, 2019!)
We continue to pursue our mission priorities as we celebrate a successful year-long experiment with our Seasonal Action Leadership teams (SALT), SKYhill takes its next steps, and our ministry with children and youth sees sustained growth. This fall, we’re experimenting with our Sunday morning schedule to make way for a new thing God is doing in our midst–creating an experience of worship that goes beyond Sunday mornings.
Your consistent generosity has sustained our mission this year, even allowing us to end the summer months with ministry expenses AND income right on target. Wow!! As we begin 2019 fully-staffed, mission-driven, and forward-looking, we’re counting on your continued generosity to faithfully and fully live out our mission: Loving God. Serving others. Changing lives.
Our narrative budget illustrates the value of our financial contributions. This year, we’re especially emphasizing powerful stories from the ones we love. As you read about the unique gifts of this life-giving community, join us in prayerfully considering how you will include Heart of the Rockies in your giving commitments in 2019.
We’re especially grateful this year for a congregation committed to the values of rest and renewal for its pastors. You’ve been so, so generous. Our hearts are full.
Melissa St. Clair, Pastor
