Kids at Heart 501(c)(3) Non-profit Organization
Kids at Heart is now a certified 501(c)(3) Non-profit!
What started as an act of kindness between a friend and a family at Heart of the Rockies turned into a HeartMinistry Team that eventually required more employees to support than the rest of the church staff. Last summer, Kids at Heart served its 1000th foster, adoptive and kinship kid.
After a discernment process with Kids at Heart team members, Heart of the Rockies members, a local non-profit consultant, and then Executive Director Erica Wharton, the Church Board received a recommendation that Kids at Heart become its own non-profit organization. This allows its mission to provide respite for foster, adoptive and kinship families to continue to reach more families in need of the safe, loving, inclusive environment that Kids at Heart Fundangos and Camps provide.
