Family Housing Network – Faith Family Hospitality – Sherwood House
Heart of the Rockies members work beside Plymouth members, as we serve our Faith Family Hospitality guests as they stay overnight for a week at Plymouth Congregational Church. We provide them with nightly dinners, the ability to pack breakfasts/lunches/snacks, and a warm place to sleep during that week. Families always comment on how wonderful it is to be in a welcoming, warm, safe place, with delicious food. Our next week of FFH at Plymouth will be April 12 – 19. That week starts on Easter, which seems like an appropriate time to serve others as we demonstrate God’s love for them.
Chris Adams tells why he has been a faithful supporter of and dinner provider in the Faith Family Hospitality program:
“I was involved in the formation efforts to start Faith Family Hospitality in Fort Collins. This ministry helps families overcome the last obstacles to living in their own home. There are wonderful families in this program, thankful for a hand up. I enjoy meeting the parents and kids as I serve them the food I have cooked with love for them. As someone once reminded me ‘serve others so that you may truly live’.”

The Day Center for Family Housing Network (at the Mennonite Fellowship): Saturday daytime volunteers are needed to staff the day center. Training is available. Warm feelings and smiles are the pay. To volunteer please contact Steph at the Day Center.
The Sherwood House is in its planning stages, with hope that the multi-unit site will be operational by the spring of 2020. With expectations to be able to house up to seven families, or a total of up to 21 individuals, in a central Fort Collins location.
