Heart of the Rockies Christian Church in Fort Collins, CO

Gifts are gratefully received in a variety of forms.

Bequest – Make a gift after your lifetime through your will or trust—a fixed amount, a specific asset, or a percentage of your estate.

Retirement account – This can be the most heavily taxed asset in many estates, so choosing this as your gift might leave your less tax-burdened assets to your loved ones.

Real estate – Contributing property when it is no longer needed can be a significant gift.

Charitable trust – Trusts have flexible benefits, including income, tax benefits and a significant gift to the church. We encourage you to consult with a professional advisor and talk with one of our church’s stewards to discuss our congregation’s permanent fund policies and your goals and giving options.

Individuals over 72 receive a “Required Minimum Distribution” (RMD) from their IRA. That RMD can be given directly from your IRA to an approved charity – a tax-efficient and convenient way to support ministry. We can help you with the appropriate paperwork so your IRA can be used to further the mission of the church.
