Worship Service Opportunities
Heart of the Rockies members and friends, old-timers and newcomers, adults and high school youth, play an important part in preparing for and delivering a worshipful experience on Sunday mornings. Please prayerfully consider using your spiritual gifts by helping out with at one of our Sunday morning opportunities. If you would like to volunteer for a position listed below, contact Richard Austin.
Coffee and Donuts – Prior to worship set up donuts, prepare coffee, make lemonade, and serve after worship. Clean up after this fellowship time.
Communion Preparation – Prior to the service, prepare communion. After the service, clean communion ware.
Greeter – Greet each person coming to worship with a smile and handshake! Lead guests to the Welcomer.
Welcomer – Welcome guests (first time worshippers) by providing information (brochures, etc.); directions to the restrooms, Prayground, coat hooks, and sanctuary; and a small gift.
Check-In Station Assistant –Assist worshippers with checking in for worship on iPads using our church database app, Breeze.
Usher –Prepare the sanctuary for worship (turn on fans, open blinds, etc.), count attendees, help with communion and offering.
Tech Team – Operate the sound board, switcher, or camera. Training required.
Projection Technician – Operate our projection system.
Prayground Leader – Be present in the Prayground to support our children during worship. Must be background-checked prior to serving per our Safe Church policy.
Communion Invitation–Prepare and deliver a brief invitation to the table followed by a communion prayer. Act as center communion server. (If unable to stand and hold communion tray, a “pinch server” can be arranged.)
Communion Assistant – Assist in serving communion to the congregation by holding the trays of communion. You do not need to speak at the table.
Offering Invitation – Prepare and deliver a brief invitation to give.
Counter –Serve with another person to count and record offering and prepare for deposit.
