Heart of the Rockies has been involved with Faith Family Hospitality (Family Housing Network’s overnight program) since its inception, about 12 years ago. For four weeks every year HRCC volunteers join volunteers at Plymouth Congregational Church (UCC) to host up to four families.
Evening hosts welcome families and oversee the evening. Meal preparers bring and serve a meal. Overnight hosts arrive at 8 pm and stay until 7 am the next morning when families leave for the day. There are also childcare providers, cleaning volunteers, set-up volunteers, tear-down volunteers, grocery shoppers, and an FFH trailer transporter. Our church has consistently helped to provide a warm, safe place for families in crisis, marked by generosity, hospitality and fellowship. Contact Lynnette Thayer if you are interested in getting involved or asking questions. Read more about FFH or sign up for our FFH weeks.
