What to expect on Sunday
Walking into a new church can be intimidating. We’ve all been there.
How we worship…
This summer, we’re worshipping together in one service at 10 a.m. Beginning Sunday, September 9, we begin a six-month experiment with the following schedule: 9 a.m. Education Hour; 10 a.m. Worship; 11 a.m. Fellowship. We’ll also be experimenting with a style of worship that incorporates favorite hymns and more contemporary songs. We have a Praise Band and welcome a host a gifted guest musicians on a regular basis.
Expect to see worshipers in all sorts of clothing; we encourage you to come comfortably.
Our pastors share sermons that will lead you into deeper experiences of God’s presence in the world and the desire to love and serve others.
We serve communion every Sunday. Everyone is welcome at the table. Our communion cups are filled with grape juice.
…and love our kids…
Children and youth are highly valued. They’re invited forward to share in a brief Children’s Time during worship and to attend Children’s Church during the service. Younger children are welcome in our fully staffed nursery with our trained nursery workers or the sanctuary.
…and learn together.
We also value education and fellowship. On school-year Sunday mornings, adults meet for classes covering a variety of topics pertinent to our faith. Our children and youth experience faith formation on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, respectively. We’re excited to introduce a new fellowship hour at 11 a.m., beginning Sunday, September 9. Before and after services, you’ll find people hanging out together in the lobby. Help yourself to a cup of coffee, a donut, and lively conversation.
